Six Dead as Trailer Crashes in Lagos

At least six people have died in an auto crash at Second Rainbow, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos State. The tragic incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the accident happened after a trailer driver lost control due to brake failure, crashing into a car and a commercial bus. “The brake of the trailer failed and it crashed into those two vehicles. They have carried some bodies already, about six or seven,” one witness said.

First responders, including Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officials and the Nigeria Police, arrived at the scene to help carry the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) also confirmed the incident, noting that multiple vehicles, including a tanker, two commercial buses, a Honda saloon car, and two commercial motorcycles, were involved in the crash.
