In a charged campaign speech in Aurora, Colorado, Donald Trump painted a stark picture of the nation under siege by criminal elements, claiming the U.S. is facing an “invasion” at the southern border. Speaking for 80 minutes, Trump pledged to make the upcoming November election a decisive moment for America, framing it as a battle against migrant crime.
“We’re being occupied by a criminal element,” he declared, as he vowed that November 5, 2024, would be “America’s Liberation Day.” His speech underscored a blend of protectionist economic promises and calls to defend the country from what he described as unchecked immigration, aimed at energizing his core supporters as the race tightens.
