Miffed by a viral video, manipulated to portray Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as a woman abuser, the government has swiftly reacted, saying it was the handiwork of desperate opposition.
A statement issued by Comrade Allen Sowore, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategic Communication, on Saturday described the viral video as a plot deployed by the opposition parties to tarnish Aiyedatiwa’s image and reputation ahead of pending election.
The Ondo State government has clarified that the state governor, Aiyedatiwa is not the alleged woman abuser, seen in a viral video.
Aiyedatiwa is incumbent governor of Ondo State and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in the governorship election coming up this month.
