Former Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, has expressed frustration over the sharp increase in the cost of living, citing his own struggles to afford basic commodities like diesel.
During an interview with Igbere TV, Amaechi highlighted the economic strain many Nigerians are facing, questioning the public’s lack of response to the worsening situation.
“I expected our youth to take to the streets and protest the high cost of living, but their silence is deafening,” Amaechi remarked, further criticizing political campaigns in Edo State amidst the country’s ongoing challenges.
He urged Nigerian citizens to demand accountability from leaders, noting the growing difficulty for many, including himself, to keep up with soaring prices.
