On Monday evening, a shocking act of daylight robbery unfolded in the bustling Mararaba Under Bridge area, where a pickpocket targeted an unsuspecting lady amidst the chaos of a recent traffic accident.
The incident, which occurred at one of the district’s busiest intersections, has reignited concerns over the rising tide of petty crime in the area, especially during peak traffic hours.
Eyewitnesses recount the scene that played out following the accident, where a crowd had gathered to help those involved or to witness the unfortunate events.
“I was sitting in my car, coming home from work, sipping a bottle of water and watching the chaos unfold,” one witness shared. “Suddenly, amidst all the commotion, I heard a woman shout, ‘My phone! My phone!’ It all happened so fast.”
