The newly appointed Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has officially resumed duty, marking a new chapter for security management in Abuja. In his first address at the FCT Command Headquarters on Monday, CP Disu issued a firm warning to those involved in criminal activities, declaring that his administration will adopt a “zero-tolerance approach” toward all forms of crime.
Disu emphasized that the police command under his leadership is unwavering in its mission to safeguard the FCT. While stressing the importance of maintaining law and order, he also assured that law enforcement operations will be carried out with full respect for the rights of all citizens. “We will ensure that our policing is both effective and humane,” he said, underscoring the balance between enforcement and civil rights.
In outlining his strategic vision for the Command, CP Disu highlighted five key areas of focus for his administration: community policing, intelligence gathering, technology integration, training and development, and public engagement.
