President Bola Tinubu departed Abuja on Wednesday for the United Kingdom to begin his annual leave, according to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President.
The statement noted that the President would spend two weeks on vacation, using the time as a retreat to reflect on his administration’s ongoing economic reforms.
The announcement underscores that this period will not be purely for relaxation, as President Tinubu is expected to remain engaged in important governmental work while abroad. “He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms,” Onanuga said, adding that the President will return to the country after the leave expires.
