In line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu directive for transition into a cleaner energy produce lower emissions presenting more affordable alternative for Nigeria energy consumer through use CNG enabled vehicles the Nigeria Police Trust Fund has signed a Memorandum of Understanding MOU with Presidential Compressed Natura Gas Initiative PCNGI to transit police fleets to Compressed Natura Gas.
The executive secretary Nigeria Police Trust Fund Mohamed Saidu stated this in Abuja during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Presidential Compressed Natura Gas Initiative in his office in Abuja.
He said the central goal of the partnership is to empower the police officers, mechanics and technical teams among many other benefits.
He also stated that NPTF is ready to hit the ground running with the initial conversion of 30 vehicles into CNG immediately.
The Managing Director presidential Compressed Natura Gas Initiative PCNGI Engr Micheal Oluwagbemi said the use of CNG by the police force will significantly reduce the operational cost and enhance energy security thereby contributes to a cleaner environment aligning with national growth for energy diversification.
He said PCNGi have the kits ready and trainers available to make take off run seamlessly without hindrances .
