According to the National Examinations Council, candidates must now pay a charge of N50,000 to have their certificates reprinted.
In a statement announcing the new policy and published by the Registrar of NECO, Dantani Wushishi, in a public notice made available to journalists in Minna, Niger State’s capital, on Monday, NECO stated, “The N50,000 fee for certificate reprints is subject to periodic review.”
The council further said that requests for reprints “will only be accepted within one year of the original certificate issuance.” Following this period, the council will no longer consider such petitions.”
In addition to the reprinting policy, NECO has imposed a one-month deadline for candidates to request that their results be corrected.
