President Bola Tinubu is set to reshuffle his cabinet, but only he knows who will stay and who will go, according to Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign. Bwala emphasized that anyone claiming to know the fate of the ministers is just speculating.
The cabinet reshuffle, confirmed by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga, will be based on empirical public opinions and the performance of ministers over the past year and four months. Onanuga noted that Tinubu’s administration has achieved significant milestones in transforming the economy, despite some public perceptions to the contrary.
Some ministers have started lobbying to stay in the President’s good books, but Onanuga stated that there’s no specific timeline for the reshuffle. When asked about filling the vacant Presidential Spokesperson role, Bwala denied knowledge of being considered for the position.
