Popular Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has revealed thoughts of suicide in the wake of serious bribery allegations made by social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also called VeryDarkMan.

Earlier this week, VeryDarkMan accused Bobrisky of offering ₦15 million to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officers to drop money laundering charges. This was supposedly done to help Bobrisky avoid serving a jail sentence at Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.

In response, Bobrisky took to social media on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, to deny the claims, asserting that he fully served his sentence and had not bribed EFCC officials. He also labeled the viral audio recording linked to the alleged bribery as “fake.”

However, the ongoing controversy has taken a severe toll on Bobrisky’s mental health. In a post shared on Thursday, September 26, Bobrisky revealed he is now considering suicide due to the relentless efforts to tarnish his image.

He wrote: “I have never in my life thought about suicide, but now it’s crossing my mind, seeing what people are doing to their fellow humans just because they want to bring them down or don’t like them. I don’t need sympathy from anyone. The only people I might have needed it from are my late parents. But who will fight for you now? Friends? Haters, you’ve won.”

Following the post, Bobrisky has deleted all photos and videos from his Instagram account, marking a worrying point in the ongoing drama.
