President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is gearing up for a cabinet reshuffle, and his ministers are on high alert. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed this development during a press conference at the State House in Abuja, stating that the President will reshuffle his cabinet, although no timeline has been set.

The impending reshuffle has sparked mixed reactions, with some people calling for the replacement of underperforming ministers, particularly those handling critical portfolios like power, security, and finance. Others, however, are skeptical about the effectiveness of a reshuffle, citing concerns about the President’s ability to make tough decisions.

In addition to the reshuffle, President Tinubu has directed his ministers to be more proactive in sharing their achievements with the public. Onanuga noted that some ministers have been “media shy” and urged them to overcome this and showcase their accomplishments. This move is seen as an effort to address the perception that the government is not doing enough, when in fact, significant work is being done.

It’s worth noting that the cabinet reshuffle is expected to affect at least five ministers, although their identities have not been disclosed. As the situation unfolds, Nigerians will be watching closely to see how the reshuffle impacts the government’s performance and overall direction.
