The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is mounting pressure on Mahmood Yakubu, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to suspend the collation of results in Edo state.
In statement on Saturday, Debo Ologunagba, the national publicity secretary of the PDP, said intelligence available to the party indicates that the APC wants the result collation of he governorship election suspended “to make way for the manipulation of the INEC portal and replace the real results from the units with fabricated figures in favour of the APC”.
The PDP also alleged that the APC is planning to invade collation centres with thugs.
