APC Moles Behind PDP Crisis – Governor Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of causing internal turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). During a courtesy visit by the PDP Board of Trustees, led by Senator Adolphus Wabara, to the Government House in Bauchi on Thursday, Mohammed alleged that the APC planted moles in the PDP to keep informed of its activities.

Mohammed, who also serves as the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, referenced the unusual situation of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, who is a PDP member working under an APC-led administration. He expressed confusion over Wike’s role but stressed that the party’s internal conflict can be resolved.

“It is only PDP with the experience of governance that is being challenged. And you will notice that this is a creation of the other side (APC). They want us to be in disarray,” said Mohammed.

He remained optimistic that the PDP has the capacity to address its issues, boasting that the APC lacks individuals capable of delivering the same results as PDP members. He noted that the party’s human capital is crucial to solving Nigeria’s challenges.

Senator Wabara, in his remarks, explained that the delegation’s visit aimed to address the party’s crisis, particularly in Rivers State, and the election of a substantive National Chairman. He assured that despite the current challenges, the PDP remains capable of rescuing Nigeria. Wabara added that the party’s leadership will work to ensure unity and prevent factionalism.

Both leaders emphasized that the PDP’s internal issues, while concerning, are not beyond resolution, and that the party remains focused on its goals.
