The Rotary Club of Abuja Kubwa Gateway has allocated N37 million to construct, furnish, and commission a primary health centre in Ijayapi community, Bwari area council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Club President Adaeze Ukwuoma announced this during her investiture as the 10th president, stating that the health centre is the club’s flagship project for 2024/2025.
Ukwuoma emphasized the club’s commitment to supporting local communities and making a global impact, inviting well-meaning Nigerians to join their efforts.
She pledged to build on previous achievements, innovate, and take bold action to provide essential services such as water, healthcare, and education to those in need.
Outgoing President Rtn. Chukwudi Onuorah highlighted the club’s accomplishments, including polio eradication efforts, clean water initiatives, educational programs, and disease control.
Onuorah noted that the club’s activities have made a significant difference in the lives of many individuals and fostered camaraderie among members.
The new health centre will provide vital healthcare services to the Ijayapi community, aligning with Rotary’s focus on promoting health, education, and community development.
