Two Federal Polytechnic students from Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, were murdered in a deadly traffic accident on the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, the deceased, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were riding a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding vehicle, killing them on the spot.
On Thursday, the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council Ondo State Chapter released a statement confirming the occurrence.
The statement was signed by Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, the association’s chairman; Oluwanishola Ajibola, the General Secretary; and Kehinde Blessing, the Public Relations Officer.
The statement read, “This loss is a significant blow to the Ondo State student community.
‘The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life. These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”
