The Nigeria Mining Week conference and expo is set to make a powerful return to Abuja for its ninth edition, scheduled to take place from November 18-20, 2024, at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

Organized by the Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) in collaboration with PwC Nigeria and the Vuka Group, the highly anticipated event will serve as a major platform for stakeholders in Nigeria’s mining sector, bringing together pioneers, investors, regulators, and service providers to discuss the future of the country’s burgeoning extractive industry.

Since its inception, the Nigeria Mining Week has established itself as a landmark gathering for the country’s mining community, providing a unique opportunity for industry players to engage, collaborate, and explore the potential of Nigeria’s mineral resources. This year’s edition is expected to attract over 1,000 attendees from across Nigeria and the wider African region, including key government officials, international investors, mining companies, and local operators.

With the theme “From the Inside Out: Building the Mining Sector to be the Cornerstone of Nigeria’s Economy,” the conference aims to underscore the role of the mining industry as a crucial driver of economic growth and diversification in Nigeria. As the country seeks to reduce its dependence on oil and gas, the development of the mining sector is seen as a strategic priority for enhancing job creation, boosting export revenue, and promoting sustainable industrialization.
