YouTube Music is expanding the test phase of its AI-powered feature, “Ask Music,” which allows users to generate custom radio stations based on natural language prompts. This innovative tool is currently available to select YouTube Premium users in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, but only on Android devices for now.

“Ask Music” enables users to describe their music preferences, moods, or ideas through a chat-style interface. Once a prompt is provided, the AI creates a personalised playlist and plays the first track. Users can also save these AI-generated stations for future listening.

Though still in the testing stage, “Ask Music” has been widely praised for helping users discover new music when they’re unsure of what to listen to. The feature is expected to launch globally soon, adding a fresh layer of customization to the YouTube Music experience.
