Governor Seyi Makinde Returns from Leave, Announces Key Appointments

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has returned from his one-month leave and announced a series of new appointments, including members into various boards and a key executive role. During his absence, the leadership of the state was temporarily handled by Deputy Governor Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal.

 

Upon his return on Monday, Makinde appointed Engr. Akin Akinleye as the Executive Assistant on Sports Development. In addition, he approved appointments to the Boards of the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service, Oyo State Pension, and the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.

 

According to a statement from his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, the appointments are effective immediately. The appointments include:

 

– **Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service Board**:

– Mogaji Oladosu Ademola (Vice Chairman, Oyo South)

– Hon. Akinsola Ismael (Member, Oyo South)

– Mrs. Oluwakemi Roseline Alabi (Member, Oyo North)

– Alhaji Mojeed Agbaje (Member, Oyo North)

– Oladipupo Christiana Oluwarinu (Member, Oyo Central)

– Mr. Oyegbami Oyewale (Member, Oyo Central)

 

– **Oyo State Pension Board**:

– Hon. Oluwatubosun Babarinde (Member, Oyo Central)

– Adeniyi Busola Esther (Member, Oyo South)

 

– **Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State**:

– Engr. Mudasiru Busari (Member, Oyo North)

– Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi (Member, Oyo Central)

– Prince Olumuyiwa Akinbiyi (Member, Oyo South)

 

These appointments highlight Makinde’s continued effort to strengthen governance across various sectors in Oyo State.
