Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has made shocking remarks, blaming the late Afrobeats pioneer and activist Fela Anikulapo-Kuti for his own death.

In a recent interview on the ‘Echoo Room’ podcast with media personality Quincy Jonze, Portable suggested that Fela’s early demise was due to his lack of discretion. “According to what we were told,” Portable said, “if Fela had minded his own business a little, he might have lived longer. But he was too busy fighting for Nigerians who didn’t fight for themselves.”

During the same interview, Portable also addressed his ongoing feud with rapper Zlatan Ibile, whom he referred to as the “devil” behind his conflicts with Davido. Portable claimed, “I was in America looking for foreign artists and displaying my madness online when Davido called me. Me and Davido had no issues until Zlatan came along.”
