Afrobeat musicians Davido and Lojay have been recognized on the 2024 Billboard Honour Roll, celebrating top R&B and Hip Hop records worldwide. The Honour Roll, which highlights chart-topping successes from August 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024, includes these artists due to their contributions to American R&B star Chris Brown’s hit single “Sensational,” which topped the Adult R&B Airplay Chart.
Lojay’s remix of his hit single “Monalisa” with Chris Brown contributed significantly to its commercial success. Chris Brown has become a major influence in Afrobeats through his collaborations with Nigerian artists, further cementing his role in the genre.
