Former Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh has lauded Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman for his inclusion in this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
The Nigerian internal, who netted a hat-trick for Atalanta in the team’s triumph at the Europa League final, was nominated among some of the established players in Europe.
His contributions at the international level were equally impressive, with three goals and one assist instrumental in guiding Nigeria to the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Reacting to his nomination, the former Super Eagles coach, via his official X handle, welcomed Lookman into the Ballon d’Or family.
“Congratulations to Ademola Lookman for joining this exclusive list of Nigerians who were globally acclaimed! Naija’s all-time magnificent 8 just became THE MAGNIFICENT 8. Delighted and welcome to the club, Lil bro.” he wrote.
