Singer Korede Bello has revealed the reasons behind his departure from Don Jazzy’s Mavins Records.
Bello, who signed with Mavins in February 2014, exited the label in 2021. In a recent interview with Hip TV, hosted by reality star KimOprah, the artist shared his decision to leave the label.
He explained that he felt he was being treated more as a commodity than as an individual. “I was at a season in my life where I needed to metamorphose, explore my inner worth, do introspection, understand myself better, and reconnect with my purpose,” Bello said.
“I started to feel like a product solely there to generate revenue. The constant chase for the next hit or the next buzz made me lose sight of what truly matters. Many artists become trapped in this cycle.”
Bello’s departure marks a significant shift as he seeks to redefine his artistic journey and personal growth.
