Famous American actress Angelina Jolie has revealed why she stopped singing, attributing her decision to brutal criticism from a former boyfriend.
In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Jolie shared that the harsh feedback from her ex had a profound effect on her. “I don’t sing. I had somebody in my life who was not kind to me about singing. It was a relationship I was in. And so I just assumed I couldn’t really sing,” she explained.
Despite having attended theatre school, Jolie admitted that the criticism influenced her deeply. “It’s strange that it even had an effect on me. I just kind of adapted to this person’s opinion,” she said.
