In a recent viral video, Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, shared his laid-back approach to creating music. He boasted that all his hit songs, from ‘Holla At Your Boy’ to ‘Essence’, were recorded while sitting down.

Wizkid emphasized that he doesn’t stress himself to make hits, and instead, focuses on chilling and allowing his creativity to flow naturally. He also expressed his dislike for promoting his music or granting media interviews, saying:

“I hate doing promo, I hate doing press… I know exactly what the people want.”

Wizkid credited producer P2J as the only person who truly understands his creative process, saying:

“All we have to do is turn on the mic… The amazing thing is that the world is now globalized, you don’t need anyone to lie to you.”

This insight into Wizkid’s creative process showcases his unique approach to music-making and his confidence in his artistry.”
