Nigerian singer Spyro has recently opened up about his decision to embrace celibacy. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 33-year-old musician shared his internal struggle with premarital sex, admitting that although he enjoyed it, he was plagued by guilt.
Spyro revealed that after much reflection and prayer, he decided to cut ties with anything that tempted him.
“Sex felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience,” Spyro wrote. “Every time I engaged in fornication, knowing I wasn’t married to the person, I felt troubled, as if a part of me was taken away.”
He continued, “I struggled for a while but kept praying for strength. When the time came, I disengaged from all lingering connections. It hasn’t been easy, especially when I travel and encounter people who make advances or when promoters complicate things. But now they know, and I am keeping this bed for ONE now.”
