The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has summoned Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to appear before its disciplinary committee over allegations of anti-party activities.

In an interview with Channels TV on Monday, Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, confirmed that the committee had sent a letter to Wike, inviting him to address concerns about his recent public comments.

Abdullahi specifically referenced Wike’s statement about “putting fire in their states,” which he made in relation to PDP governors. “Wike should be able to manage his words carefully; that was a very disappointing remark. We weren’t expecting him to say that, and we are not with him on that, to be honest with you,” Abdullahi remarked.

This development comes shortly after Wike expressed satisfaction with his role in President Bola Tinubu’s administration, despite ongoing criticisms and speculations surrounding his appointment. The FCT Minister had boldly stated that those unhappy with his decision to serve under Tinubu should “go and hug the transformer.”
