Napoli has reached an agreement with Galatasaray for a one-year loan deal involving Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen’s transfer to Chelsea fell through before the close of the English transfer window, and a subsequent move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal also failed to materialize.
According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Napoli accepted a straight loan proposal from Galatasaray, with no option to buy, and the Turkish club will cover about £10 million of Osimhen’s salary.
It now remains to be seen if Osimhen will agree to the move. Napoli has stated that Osimhen will not be reintegrated into the squad following a frustrating transfer period, during which Romelu Lukaku was signed as his replacement.
