On Friday, the Kano State Fire Service saved a mother and her two male children who were stuck in a collapsed structure in the Kano Municipal Local Government Area’s Makwarari axis.
Saminu Abdullahi, the organization’s public relations officer, revealed this in a statement released in Kano and provided to reporters on Friday. Abdullahi claims that the structure is a one-story, thirty-by forty-foot residential home.
“We received an emergency call on Friday, around 9:30a.m, from our control room by one of our staff members, Ibrahim Isah, that a building collapsed.
“Upon receiving the information, we quickly dispatched firemen to the scene,” he added
According to Abdullahi, the victims were saved from certain death and brought to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital in Kano for medical attention.
The victims were identified in the statement as Abdulnasir Jilani, 12, Abdullahi Jilani, 9, and Balaraba Abba, 35, the mother.
It said that an investigation was underway to determine what caused the mishap.
