Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has touted the under-construction Ilorin Innovation Hub as a catalyst for technological growth in Africa, providing opportunities for millions of young people.
During a site visit, AbdulRazaq confirmed the project is 95% complete, attributing the delay to ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
“The hub will be one of the best in Africa, driving growth in the tech space,” AbdulRazaq said. “We’ve partnered with IHS to ensure sustainability, and the facility will be powered by solar energy.”
AbdulRazaq expressed satisfaction with the progress, emphasizing the importance of getting it right. “It’s taking time, but we’re in the last mile, with everything almost ready.”
Ilorin Innovation Hub Managing Director Temi Kolawole noted, “This project will transform Kwara’s economy by bringing globally competitive skills and merging locals with the global market.”
