Sam Sodje, a former international player, emphasized the importance of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) appointing capable assistants to support newly appointed Super Eagles head coach Bruno Labbadia.
Labbadia, a German manager, will lead the team for the first time in Africa and internationally.
Sodje urged the NFF to hire technically sound local coaches to contribute to Labbadia’s ideas for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to play against Benin on September 7, followed by a match against Rwanda three days later.
