The Nigeria U20 women’s team, known as Falconets, suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to Mexico in a friendly match in Bogota on Monday.
Despite their strong attacking efforts, the Falconets were unable to equalize after conceding a goal in the 20th minute.
The President of NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, commended the Falconets for their impressive performance and urged them to remain motivated following their recent victory over Australia in another friendly match.
The team will begin their FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup campaign with a match against Korea Republic on September 2nd, followed by a game against Germany on September 4th, both taking place at Estadio Metropolitano de Techo in Bogota.
Their final group stage match will be against Venezuela at Estadio Pascual Guerrero in Cali on September 7th.
