Federico Chiesa, the winger for Juventus, has expressed his willingness to join Barcelona in this summer’s transfer window. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa’s agent has informed Barcelona that the player is prepared to join them.
He mentioned that the Italian star is interested in Barcelona’s project and is open to the idea of joining the club.
However, he clarified that the deal depends on Barcelona’s decision, as the club is still evaluating its options to strengthen its attack. Meanwhile, Liverpool is also in the mix for Chiesa before Friday’s transfer deadline after learning about the Juventus forward’s availability, as per a source from ESPN.
Liverpool has yet to make a signing this summer after Arne Slot took over as head coach following Jürgen Klopp’s departure from Anfield at the end of last season.
Chiesa, whose contract with Juventus expires at the end of this season, has faced several injuries, including a 10-month layoff due to a cruciate ligament injury, since helping Roberto Mancini’s Italy team win Euro 2020.
