The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2024 Batch ‘B’ Stream II corps members’ Orientation Camp will be relocated to Adamu Tafawa Balewa College of Education in Kangere, Bauchi State.

Mrs. Rifkatu Yakubu, the NYSC Coordinator in Bauchi State, stated this on Monday.

According to Yakubu, the move is a temporary measure to allow for the reconstruction of the Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, as directed by Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed.

The governor has issued an order to completely renovate the current camp amenities.

“The relocation to the new facility becomes necessary so as to allow the state government to pursue the renovation work of the permanent orientation camp,” Yakubu told journalists. The NYSC has sent 1,900 potential corps members to Bauchi State for the orientation exercise, which will take hold from August 28 to September 17.

Yakubu also recommended potential corps members to avoid travelling at night and, if necessary, to break their journeys and resume them the next day to safeguard their safety.
