Borno State Commissioner for Finance, Ahmed Ali Ahmed, has passed away. Although details surrounding his death remain unclear, sources close to the situation reported that the commissioner was found dead in his room on Monday morning.
According to those familiar with the incident, Ahmed did not emerge from his room at his usual time, prompting concern. When attempts to reach him failed, the door to his room was forced open, revealing that he had already passed away.
“Oga is no more; he died early this morning,” a source told Daily Trust, confirming the unfortunate news.
This marks the second time within a year that Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has lost a member of his cabinet, casting a somber mood over the state’s administration.
