Napoli has offered €25 million to sign Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay, according to Sky Sports (via ESPN). Negotiations are underway between both clubs, with Napoli looking to sign the 27-year-old on loan with a permanent clause that would obligate them to activate next summer.
Although Manchester United is open to the idea of parting ways with McTominay in the current transfer window, the €25 million offer falls short of their valuation. The Red Devils have been holding out for a fee closer to €35 million.
McTominay has appeared in both of manager Erik ten Hag’s side matches so far this season, most recently as a substitute in last week’s 1-0 Premier League victory over Fulham at Old Trafford.
Since his debut in May 2017, the Scotland international has made a total of 253 career club appearances.
