Singer Tems has expressed that there shouldn’t be a set standard for how artists should dress. In a recent interview with Essence Magazine, she emphasized the importance of individual style and personal expression.

Tems explained that her fashion choices reflect her authenticity rather than an attempt to convey a specific message. “You should be yourself, even if expectations differ,” she said. “When you are true to yourself, you automatically succeed, regardless of what that looks like. That’s why variety exists.”

She continued, “We are all different and not meant to be the same. While there may be standards, there shouldn’t be a prescribed way for artists or women to dress. I believe that our uniqueness should be celebrated without imposed requirements or expectations.”
