Yildiz, who was recently handed the prestigious No. 10 shirt at Juventus, delivered an impressive performance in the opening game of Serie A against Como.
In an interview with Juventus’ official website, Platini praised Yildiz’s potential and personality, urging him to follow in the footsteps of creative players like Zidane and Messi to become a standout talent. “If Juventus gave him the No. 10 shirt, it means he wanted it and has personality,” Platini said. “I hope he can be a No. 10 like me—creative, one who invents.”
Platini further advised Yildiz to stay central to the game, while looking to other star midfielders for inspiration: “He must take inspiration from Bellingham, Messi, and Zidane.”
