Nigerian singer Chike has shown his generosity by gifting a fan ₦100,000 to purchase a laptop after the fan spent six consecutive days begging for assistance on Twitter.
On August 19, 2024, the fan, who had been tagging Chike for help, posted, “Day 6 of asking my idolo for help @Officialchike. God bless your beautiful voice, sir. A laptop is all I need, sir.” Chike finally responded, asking the fan to send his bank account number, and subsequently made the transfer.
The fan expressed gratitude, sharing the transfer receipt and saying, “Thank you very much, sir. This would go a long way for my project. May God continue to bless you, sir.”
This act of kindness comes after Chike faced controversy for giving a troll ₦1 million. The troll had claimed Chike’s fame came from the late singer Mohbad, prompting Chike to send the money and label the troll “Hunger Boy.”
Chike’s generosity has showcased his willingness to support his fans and silence critics with kindness.
