Dr. Fauziya Buhari Ado, Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on School Feeding Programme, has emphasized the need for a comprehensive strategy to enhance education infrastructure and quality. Speaking to reporters in Abuja, Dr. Ado highlighted the importance of addressing challenges facing school children, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

Dr. Ado stressed the need to support families financially to encourage consistent school attendance and reduce dropout rates. She noted a significant increase in girls’ school attendance, but warned that sustaining this progress requires strengthening schools with better facilities, training teachers, and ensuring continuity of the school feeding programme.

Dr. Ado’s comments underscore the critical role of the school feeding programme in improving education outcomes and the need for a holistic approach to address the challenges facing Nigeria’s education sector.
