Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is looking forward to a successful spell at Serie A club, Lazio.
The Nigeria international linked up with Lazio from Turkish Super Lig outfit Hatayaspor earlier in the summer.
Dele-Bashiru acknowledged he had a problem adapting to life at the club in the beginning but is ready for action now.
“Italian football is very tactical; this is the biggest challenge. My favorite role is as a number 8 or 10.
I am ready to play and make the fans happy. I had some problems at the beginning of the season, but now I am better, and I understand what the coach wants,” he told the club’s official website.
“The training I received at Manchester City was very good, and Turkish football taught me a lot. I know I’ll need to adapt to Serie A, but I’ve found a very supportive environment here, and I hope we can have a great season.”
Meanwhile, Dele-Bashiru has been handed the iconic number 7 jersey by the club.
The jersey was previously donned by Lazio’s former Brazilian star, Felipe Andersen.
The midfielder is in line to make his official debut for Lazio against Venezia on Sunday.
