Nwankwo Kanu, the chairman of Enyimba Football Club, has expressed strong confidence in Yemi Olanrewaju’s ability to take the team to greater heights. Olanrewaju, who has been officially appointed as the head coach of the Aba Giants, signed a one-year contract on Tuesday.
Olanrewaju, known within the football community as Yema, joined Enyimba two seasons ago as an assistant coach under Finidi George. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in the team’s success, contributing significantly through his tactical expertise and motivational skills.
Kanu, speaking on Olanrewaju’s appointment, highlighted his value to the club. “Coach Yemi has been a valuable member of our coaching staff. We are confident in his skills and expertise to elevate the team, and we are excited to see the team flourish under his leadership,” Kanu said.
Enyimba is set to kick off the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season next month with a match against the newly promoted Beyond Limits Academy.
