Chinwe, a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 9, has called for a significant change in the show’s eviction process. She has urged Biggie to eliminate the power currently held by custodians and housemates to influence nominations and evictions.

This season’s rules grant the pair who wins the custodian challenge the authority to impact nominations and evictions, while housemates not in the bottom four can also vote on which pair should be evicted, depending on the custodian box’s contents.

During a conversation with fellow housemates on Monday, Chinwe expressed her frustration with the existing system. She argued that the current method of evicting housemates inhibits their ability to speak freely and express their true selves.

Chinwe stated, “There’s too much power in this house, so people cannot actually speak their minds. The fact that we even have to go into the Diary Room to decide someone’s fate creates a lot of pressure and self-censorship.”

She continued, “Biggie should remove this method to allow housemates to express their thoughts without fear of being targeted or evicted by others. The way things are now means that people are hesitant to speak their minds, worried about stepping on toes and facing retaliation from other housemates.”
