The Adamawa State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has welcomed a new sector commander, Yahaya Sabo Adikwu. Commander Adikwu has already begun his duties, signaling his intent to introduce new initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety of road users.
As part of his initial activities, Adikwu paid a courtesy visit to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Tuesday. During the visit, he shared plans to construct a staff housing estate to improve the welfare of FRSC personnel, thereby boosting their performance. He presented a letter from the Corps Marshal requesting land allocation for this purpose.
Governor Fintiri assured Adikwu of the state’s support for all FRSC activities in Adamawa.
Additionally, the new sector commander visited the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo Mustapha. The traditional ruler emphasized the importance of ensuring that road users comply with traffic regulations, particularly regarding overloading, to help save lives.
