Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate Chinwe has refuted claims that she sponsored her boyfriend, Zion, to participate in the show. This denial comes after a heated argument between the couple on Thursday, sparked by Chinwe’s accusation that Zion failed to support her during a dispute with fellow housemates Onyeka and Chizoba.
During a conversation with DJ Flo on Thursday, Chinwe claimed she sponsored their entry into the show and expressed regret for not bringing her best friend instead. However, when questioned by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu about this statement during Sunday’s eviction show, Chinwe clarified that she never meant to imply financial sponsorship.
Instead, she explained that she was the driving force behind Zion’s participation, as he was initially hesitant to join the show. Chinwe emphasized that she was merely the source of encouragement for Zion, not his financial sponsor.
