The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced that the recent power outage affecting various parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is due to a technical fault in one of its feeders. In a notice released on Saturday, the company detailed that the disruption impacts Zones 1, Zone 7, and parts of Wuse Zone 2.
AEDC has assured residents that its engineers are actively working to resolve the issue and restore electricity as swiftly as possible. “The outage is attributed to a technical fault in the feeder servicing these areas,” the company stated. “Our engineering team is diligently working to rectify the problem and reinstate power supply at the earliest.”
The company acknowledged the inconvenience caused to residents and emphasized its commitment to resolving the situation. “We understand the impact this outage has on our customers and are making every effort to restore normal service without delay,” AEDC added.
