The USA and France will face off for the gold medal in the men’s basketball final at the 2024 Olympic Games this Saturday.
This highly anticipated rematch comes after the USA’s 87-82 victory over France in the group stage. The USA claimed victory in their three group-stage matches against Serbia, South Sudan, and Puerto Rico, and then secured impressive wins against Brazil (122-87) in the quarter-final and Serbia (95-91) in the last four.
France won two and lost one of their three group games, and then secured victories against Canada (82-73) in the quarter-final and Germany (73-69) in the semi-final. US star Stephen Curry voiced unwavering confidence in the team’s ability to secure another gold medal ahead of the final.
“Every game has presented us with new challenges.
It’s going to be a different battle on Saturday, with everyone contributing.
We aim for another victory, and this game will be remembered for challenging and testing us, especially since we were down the entire game and had to come back,”
Curry stated after the semi-final victory against Serbia.
