FCT Police Begin Investigation into Death of Male Crossdresser on Abuja Highway

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has launched an investigation into the death of a male crossdresser whose body was discovered on the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway in Abuja on Thursday.

The deceased, dressed in feminine attire including a bra, weave, and handbag, was found without any form of identification. According to FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the discovery was made following a distress call received by the Command Control Room on August 8, 2024, at around 07:40 AM, reporting an unidentified individual lying motionless along the expressway.

SP Adeh stated, “A team of detectives was immediately dispatched to the scene. Preliminary investigations revealed that the individual was a man fully dressed in female clothing with no means of identification on him.”

The body was transported to Maitama District Hospital, where doctors confirmed the individual had passed away.

In response to the incident, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding death.pn’s death.
