Ligue 1 club RC Lens has announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Hamzat Ojediran on a four-year contract. Ojediran joins Lens from Hungarian club Debrecen, where he spent the past two years.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who impressed in the Hungarian league during the 2023/24 season, is described by General Manager Pierre Dreossi as “a true force of nature.” Dreossi highlighted Ojediran’s explosive and athletic style, noting his aggressive ball-winning skills and alignment with RC Lens’s expectations for determination and commitment.
Ojediran was part of Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets team at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, where he appeared in all four of Nigeria’s matches.
