Afrobeats sensation Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has revealed that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has been a major source of inspiration for his music career. This revelation comes as he marks their collaboration on his newly released third studio album, Lungu Boy.
Asake shared his excitement about their collaborative track “MMS,” which features on the album and is now available on all digital streaming platforms. Reflecting on the collaboration, Asake expressed his deep admiration for Wizkid, stating, “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young, striving artist in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for the right song, so when the opportunity came, it was a no-brainer.”
He also explained that the track “‘MMS’ stands for ‘Mr Money Sound’ and represents my music journey.”
